From Glynn County Police:
On Thursday, October 8th, a Brian Pack entered the CVS at30 Market Streeton Saint Simons Island. He had a brown paper bag on his right hand. He approached the cashier and demanded he give over the money from the register, or he would beat the cashier. The register was open and Pack reached inside and began taking the money. Pack then left the store on foot. As officers began arriving on scene, a witness informed them that he was seen running into the nearby wood line between CVS and Coquina Circle. Officers on foot then began searching the area and heard a disturbance in the wooded area. A male matching the description of the robbery suspect was then seen running across Sea Island Road toward Halyards. The male was told several times to stop as police identified themselves, however he continued to run. More witnesses began telling officers which direction Pack went, and stated he had blood on his head as he was running. Patrol units located and apprehended Pack between Harris Teeter and Sea Island Road. Pack resisted arrest and was quickly subdued without injury. Pack was found with approximately $350 in cash on his person.
