CCGA Closed Until at Least March 30

College of Coastal Georgia issued the following statement today:

Good afternoon, Students. Given the current situation surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19), the College of Coastal Georgia will temporarily suspend instruction until at leastMonday, March 30.This decision was made by leaders at the University System of Georgia after receiving new guidance this afternoon from Governor Kemp’s coronavirus task force and the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Students who are currently on spring break are strongly encouraged not to return to campus. Students who are on campus at this time are asked to depart by5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, and to remain away from campus at leastuntil March 29. At this time, students are not being asked to move out of the residence halls for the remainder of the semester. For students who are unable to leave campus, please contact your residence hall director for further instructions.

The College will be using these two weeks to finalize plans to ensure the continuity of education for the remainder of the semester. As we have additional information and guidance to share, we will provide updates on our website at www.ccga.edu/COVID19. Please continue to follow guidance provided by the Georgia Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Please know that we are committed to supporting your health and wellbeing as we work to ensure the continuity of your education here at Coastal Georgia. I appreciate your patience as we work through this unprecedented situation.

Take care.
