The Island Planning Commission meets at 6:00 tomorrow night at the Sea Palms resort. They will hear three preliminary plats, two of which were denied in the past, while the other was deferred. The plat for the The Park at Village Creek at the end of South Harrington Road, which was previously denied, has been reduced from 33 lots to 25. The large Sinclair tract off Lawrence Rd. on the north end of the island is also back after being rejected last year. This plat also has been modified. The IPC will hear the plat for Fifty Oaks subdivision off South Harrington behind Bennie’s Red Barn. This plat was considered in April but county staff placed the project on hold pending further research into a question of ownership of a portion of the property when the parcels were rezoned in 2005.
