Peace Officers Memorial Day Tomorrow

The Federal Law Enforcement Training Center will hold their Peace Officers Memorial Day Ceremony tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. in the Auditorium, Bldg. 912 at Glynco. The annual ceremony honors FLETC basic training graduates who lost their lives in the line of duty. Six names will be added to the FLETC Graduates Memorial, for a total of 225 since FLETC’s creation of the Memorial Wall in 1970. Four federal agencies lost officers in the line of duty this year and one is being honored from a previous year

The ceremony will include a roll call of the honored Graduates read by current students. Glynn County Sheriff E. Neal Jump will recite the Area State and Local Honor Roll and a bagpiper will conclude the ceremony. IRS Criminal Investigation Chief John D. Fort will serve as the keynote speaker for the ceremony.
