Recently crowned Miss Georgia, Alyssa Beasley will be in town next week as the guest of honor for a reception hosted by the City of Brunswick during which she will receive the Key to the city from Mayor Cornell Harvey . A Golden Isles native and Glynn Academy graduate Beasley will give an overview of her Miss Georgia platform - #RiseUp: Impact Through the Arts. #Rise Up is a scholarship program that provides dance opportunities to disadvantaged and disabled children. The event, scheduled from 4:00 to 6:00, July 15 at Old City Hall will also serve as a send off for Beasley’s upcoming MIss America pageant competition in September.
