Land Donated for "Passive Park" in Camden

The Southeastern Trust for Parks and Land has donated a 296-acre tract of land to Camden County for the creation of a “passive park” in Kingsland. The wooded tract, located on the southeast corner of Gross Road and Laurel Island Parkway, will be developed into a park by the Camden County Public Service Authority. Walking trails and possible fitness stations are part of the plans for the park, which comes with deed restrictions for permanent conservation of the property making it available for free or low-cost use by the public for passive, nature-based recreation.
