Brunswick, Georgia-Today, March 29, 2022, the Glynn County Board of Commissioners voted to name Mr. William “Bill” Fallon as the sole candidate for the position of County Manager with the Glynn County Board of Commissioners.
This action follows a process of advertising and interviewing several candidates and the Board of Commissioners feel that Mr. Fallon is the best candidate to guide County operations and help to lead Glynn County into the future.
Since 2016, Mr. Fallon has been the Deputy Director for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In his capacity as Deputy Director, Mr. Fallon manages all day-to-day operations, which includes an annual budget of approximately $400 Million, over 1,200 Federal employees and nearly 2,000 contract staff at 5 FLETC domestic offices across the U.S. In addition, Mr. Fallon has oversight of all lines of business to include Training Operations, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Information Officer, Human Capital Officer, Security & Office of Professional Responsibility, Office of Procurement, Emergency Management, Facilities Management and Environmental & Safety.
Mr. Fallon is active in the local community. He serves as a Member of the United Way of Coastal Georgia Board of Directors, is an active member of the Brunswick Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce and has volunteered for Glynn County School athletic programs and as a coach for Glynn County youth sports. Mr. Fallon has a bachelor’s degree from Westfield State University (MA) and a Master of Arts from the United States Naval War College.
Mr. Fallon has been a resident of Glynn County since 2012, is married to Tina Fallon and they have four children. All four of their children graduated from Glynn Academy. Two of their children graduated from Georgia Tech while one is attending Georgia Southern University and the other is attending the University of Georgia.
