From Brunswick Police:
“On Thursday, June 24, 2021, at approximately, 4pm, Brunswick Police officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Mansfield Street to a reported shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Shannon Riley, 29 of Brunswick. Ms. Riley was transported to Southeast Georgia Health System where she died as a result of her injuries.
On Tuesday, February 22, 2022, Chequerdo DaShawn Foy, 20, of Brunswick was arrested in Orlando,Florida by the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force. Chequerdo Foy was arrested in connection with the death of Shannon Riley. Foy has been charged with party to a crime of murder and armed robbery. He is currently held in the custody of the Glynn County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators have also identified and issued warrants for a second murder suspect who is currently awaiting extradition from Marion County, Florida. The Brunswick Police Department would like to thank the Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force for their assistance.
