Glynn County has placed interim EMA director Josh Bain on leave for the remainder of his contract and has informed him that his contract will not be renewed. Bain was named interim EMA director after Alec Eaton left the position in early September. Until this morning Bain was presumed to be the primary candidate for the permanent position.
This is the second time a department head has been let go in the past week. Last week, Animal Services Director Tiffani Hill was released. Those two positions join a significant number of unfilled upper-level positions within the county, including County Manager and Assistant County Manager. A new interim EMA director is expected to be announced shortly.
