A number of serious car crashes have impacted the Golden Isles in the last two days. Yesterday a single vehicle crash on Highway 341 at Waters Road resulted in a six-year-old being trapped in the car, which had flipped. The driver was able to get out, but the child trapped inside meant extra crew had to be brought in and the road shut down for an extended period.
Two crashes today resulted in more injuries. A crash earlier today at the Spur and 99 resulted in an injury that required a helicopter flight. Then this afternoon on Highway 82 near Post Road a fiery crash resulted in another life flight, this one to Gainesville for an injured person suffering from extensive burns. First Responders reported small explosions in the fiery vehicles, perhaps ammunition.
We will post more as we learn more. Please be safe on Glynn County roads.
