From Glynn County Police:
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION G21-21195 On April 17 2021 about 0215 hours, the Glynn County Police responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Cypress Mill Road and Golden Isles Parkway.
Patrol officers responding to the area located an unresponsive victim on the edge of the roadway. The victim appeared to have only a small laceration to the head at initial contact. Glynn County Fire Rescue was dispatched and transported the victim to Southeast Georgia Health Systems where life saving measures were attempted. During treatment it was determined the victim had suffered a single gunshot on the upper torso. Unfortunately, the victim passed away as a result of their injury. The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Javier Cordova of Brunswick, GA.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation and Glynn County Police are now investigating this matter.
