The Emerald Princess building located at the foot of the Sidney Lanier Bridge on the south side of the Brunswick River burned late Saturday night.
A security guard reported the fire at 10:30 Saturday evening. Reports said the guard tried to put out the fire with an extinguisher but Glynn County Fire Chief Randy Jordan said when the first units arrived the fire was very well involved. Units from other agencies, including the Brunswick Fire Department and firefighters from Waynesville and Camden County responded to the call. Chief Jordan called the building a complete loss.
