Charity Bike Ride Coming Through Town This Week

The Paul Anderson Youth Home begins their 15th Annual Bike Ride fundraiser today with all 12 of the home’s residents participating. During the five-day ride, the boys will visit Georgia areas including Savannah, Bethesda, Tybee Island, Isle of Hope, Millen and on Wednesday they will be on Jekyll Island. This year’s route includes several educational stops at historic landmarks including Fort King George in Darien and the Smallest Church in America north of Eulonia. Paul Anderson, known as the world’s strongest man, founded the residential home in 1961 as an alternative to incarceration for young men.
