The Coastal Health District reports a significant spike in COVID-19 cases today and with two more deaths in Glynn County bringing the total to six.
One was an 84-year-old female, and the other was a 74-year-old man.
The Coastal Health District's 3pm update reports a jump from 547 cases to 788 in 24 hours. Tests from private clinics were not included in data over the weekend, leading to a spike in cases.
“We believe all those came through at one time, so even though we had this big jump, we believe it’s because some were not input over the weekend and just hit our database,” said Sally Silbermann, district spokeswoman.
