Costco policy requiring customers to wear face masks starting Monday

Following the outbreak of COVID-19, Costco is implementing several new policies for its customers.

One new policy being put in place requires people to wear face masks if they want to shop in store at one of their locations.

All members of staff and guests must wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth while inside. There are exceptions for children under the age of two and those who are unable to wear a mask due to a medical condition.

The company also stresses that the new face mask policy is not a substitute for any social distancing guidelines.

Beginning Monday, May 4th, all Costco locations will return to their normal store hours and the company is setting aside an hour at 9:00 a.m Monday through Friday seniors and disabled people to shop. Only two people per membership card at a time.

First responders and health care workers are being allowed priority access so they don't have to wait in line to get into the store.
