Friday afternoon, an undercover Glynn County Police officer noted a red Dodge Durango traveling nearly 100 miles per hour around mile marker 44 on I-95. He radioed ahead to uniformed police who stopped the car. During the course of conversation with the driver, who seemed very nervous, a strong smell of marijuana was detected by the officer. After being granted the opportunity to search the vehicle, officers discovered a bag filled with a number of packets of leafy substance labeled "marijuana" as well as a number of vapes labeled "THC". The driver of the car, identified as Ja’Marley M. Riddle, a cornerback on the Georgia Bulldogs roster, was taken to the detention center, charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance as well as the traffic violation.
