Georgia Bar pulls $3,700 off walls to give to employees

Following the outbreak of COVID-19 the restaurant industry has been hurting since stay at home orders have been but in place. A bar in Tybee Island, Georgia found a creative way to help pay employees. Jennifer Knox, owner of The Sand Bar on Tybee Island, found herself struggling to pay her employees so she spent three days removing bills stapled to the walls to pay her workers.

Bills had been stapled to the bars walls for years. Know collected more than $3,700 bills from the walls and was able to give $600 to each bartender and musician.
