COVID-19 - Glynn County Government

The Glynn County Board of Commissioners is monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak and will rely on the expertise of and information from the Georgia Department of Public Health – Coastal Division (DPH) to make decisions on possible closures or changes in schedule. At this time, we are ramping up routine cleaning activities in County buildings with particular emphasis on areas that are heavily utilized by the public.

All Glynn County first responders to include law enforcement, fire services, emergency medical services, and emergency management officials, are following safety protocols and guidance issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for COVID-19. As a matter of routine business, the Glynn County Emergency Management Director has been in daily contact with DPH to continually monitor and make recommendations on this ever-evolving situation.

At this time, Glynn County Recreation spring youth and adult sports seasons will continue as planned. This includes Baseball (Blastball and T-ball), Softball, Soccer, Track, and Kickball. Out of an abundance of caution, The Glynn County Recreation Department has cancelled the following large public events:

All scheduled County meetings are planned to continue, at this time. Many of the County meetings are live streamed on the Glynn County YouTube channelwww.youtube.com/glynnbocfor those that may wish to watch the meetings, but would prefer to stay away.

The County is encouraging the public to continue to practice good hygiene, avoid large gatherings, and stay home if feeling sick.
