An arrest has been made in the hit and run that occurred on Frederica Road early Sunday, leaving a St Simons man in Shands Jacksonville with multiple broken bones. 19-year-old Michael Francisco Harris has been arrested and charged with Hit and Run Resulting in Serious Injury or Death as well as Serious Injury by Vehicle in the hit and run on 19-year-old Rilyn Ellis. Ellis was airlifted early Sunday morning to UF Health Shands Jacksonville with a broken arm, leg and a neck fracture. The police are preparing a release. We will post it in its entirety.
