Law enforcement is investigating multiple deaths with unexplained causes that occurred in Camden County on Thursday, November 8th. At least one death occurred, and another person was hospitalized, following the consumption of a powdery substance believed to be cocaine.
Law Enforcement is looking into the possibility that the substance believed to be cocaine contains a more toxic or lethal drug, and that the substance may have been cause of the other unexplained deaths. Law Enforcement is also pursuing alleged suppliers of this substance for questioning. Toxicology results are pending at the GBI crime lab in Savannah. There is evidence that the potentially lethal substance was purchased by additional persons in Camden County. Consumers of illegally purchased substances of this nature should be aware of the extreme danger.
