Gun Scare at GA Amounts to Panic, Not Much Else

Yestderday afternoon, Glynn Academy was placed in code-red lockdown briefly after a student yelled gun during a physical confrontation in front of the cafeteria in Mansfield Street. Principal Matthew Blackstone had to step into a fight between two students and ended up having to personally subdue one of them. As Blackstone was  subduing the student, someone in the crowd yelled gun, causing a panic. SROs, along with representatives of most local law enforcement agencies, arrived on scene and conducted an investigation.

No gun was found, nor was any witness who saw a gun able to be located.
