The following was sent to Needwood Middle School parents today:
At around 10 a.m. this morning, our administration received a report that a student had written a terroristic comment inside of a Literature book. The threat stated that something would happen at noon on Friday, Sept. 28, 2018.
Thanks to a student who brought this information to our attention, our school leadership and resource officers were quickly able to identify and apprehend the student. The student in question admitted to writing the threat.
While there is no threat to our students, we want to keep you abreast of any incidents that occur on our campus. Please stress to your child that making terroristic threats or any other type of threat is no laughing matter. Even if it is intended as a joke, it will be taken seriously and charges will be pursued.
