COUNTY MAN DIES FROM SHOOTING, ADDITIONAL ARRESTS MADE
On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at about 9:00 P.M., officers with the Glynn County Police Department responded to a report of a person shot in the 1000 block of Lake Drive. Officers arrived to find 33-year-old Glynn County resident John Dusty Evans laying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel began treating Mr. Evans for his injuries, and he was initially transported by ambulance to the Southeast Georgia Health System – Brunswick Campus. Mr. Evans was transferred to UF Health Jacksonville, where he remained in critical condition. On Sunday, July 29, 2018, Mr. Evans succumbed to hisinjuries.
Investigators initially arrested 20-year-old Glynn County resident Ronald Anthony Bagley Jr. for Aggravated Assault. On Tuesday, July 31, 2018, Ronald Bagley Jr. was charged withMurder in connection with Mr. Evans’ death.Glynn County Police investigators have made more arrests in connection with the investigation into Mr. Evans’ death.
On Friday July 27, 2018, investigators arrested 43-year- old Ronald Anthony Bagley, Sr. for Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and 33- year-old Jonathan Hutchinson for Making False Statements. Both of these people are GlynnCounty residents.Investigators want to speak with witnesses who were present at the time Mr. Evans was shot.
