A Sterling Elementary kindergartener was struck by a car about 6:30 yesterday morning when a person drove past a Glynn County school bus that was stopped on Post Road near Ga. Highway 32 and struck the boy. The boy was taken to Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick with minor injuries. The bus driver had the side-body stop sign activated and was waiting for the child to board, when the driver went around the bus. The driver apparently braked when he saw the child and skidded into the youngster. The child was at the bus stop with his grandfather and the driver of the car stopped. Glynn County police are handling the investigation. It was uncertain what law enforcement action might be taken against the driver.
