UPDATE 7:47 PM: Multiple unidentified sources have confirmed the victim in the shooting at Eagle's Point Apartments off Crispin Blvd was 17-year-old Xantavian "Tae" Pierce. The fatal shot was said by several familiar with the situation to have come from a gun that had been packed away as Pierce attempted to help a relative move, though this has not been confirmed by authorities. Pierce was a member of the Brunswick High football and basketball teams and was being eyed to play football at the next level.

Upon hearing the news, Brunswick High Principal Scott Spence said, "He was a great kid. Never caused problems and was a good student.
