POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING AT APARTMENT COMPLEX
On Sunday, March 25, 2018 at just before 5:00 PM, officers with the Glynn County Police Department responded to Eagles Pointe Apartments off Crispen Blvd in reference to a reported shooting. Officers and emergency medical personnel arrived to find 17-year-old Glynn County resident Xantavian Pierce inside an apartment with a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was transported via ambulance to the Southeast Georgia Health System – Brunswick Campus in critical condition. Mr. Pierce succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. An autopsy will be conducted at the Georgia Bureau of Investigations Crime Lab in Savannah. This investigation is in the early stages, and the circumstances surrounding the manner of Mr. Pierce’s death are still being investigated.Investigators are urging anyone having information on this incident to contact the Criminal Investigations Division at 912-554-7802 or the Silent Witness line at 912-264-1333.###
