From Glynn County Police:
At approximately 10:15PM this date police received a call about a possible active shooter at a carnival in the parking lot of Colonial Mall at Glynn Place in Brunswick. Officers from multiple agencies, including the Glynn County Police Department, Brunswick Police Department, Georgia State Patrol, and Glynn County Schools Police responded, as well as emergency medical personnel. The reported active shooter was UNFOUNDED. Police did locate one gunshot victim, a 16 year old male. The victim is being transported via helicopter to UF Health Shands in Jacksonville in stable but critical condition. At this time, there are no other known victims, and again I repeat there was NO ACTIVE SHOOTER. Officers and investigators are still on scene and the incident is still being investigated. An official release will be sent out at a later time.
