Glynn Middle School student Alex Greenfield will perform in the All-State Honor Band this March in Athens. Greenfield was among 1,200 students from across Georgia trying out for a spot in the Georgia Music Educators Association’s Honor Bands. The eighth grader has been playing the euphonium for two years and wanted the audition experience. 21 GMS students auditioned in December, and each student earned a spot in the all-district honor band. 11 also earned spots in the all-region honor band.
