From Glynn County Police:
On January 6, 2018 at about 11:15 AM the Glynn County Police Department responded to a residence at 123 North End Drive in reference to a shooing. Officers and emergency medical personnel arrived to find 19 year old Glynn County resident James Wooten injured from a gunshot wound. Mr. Wooten was transported via ambulance to the Southeast Georgia Health System – Brunswick Campus in critical condition. He was then transferred via helicopter to UF Shands hospital in Jacksonville, where he succumbed to his injuries.As a result of the investigation, a 16 year old Glynn County resident has been arrested in connection with Mr. Wooten’s death. The juvenile has been charged with Involuntary Manslaughter, Tampering with Evidence and Theft by Taking (firearm).
