A father accidentally wounded his 16 month old daughter Friday night at their home in western Glynn County when the rifle he was inspecting discharged and hit the girl who was in the next room. The father thought the rifle was unloaded and told police there was no magazine attached the gun and he didn’t see any rounds in the chamber. His daughter was struck in the lower leg when the accident occurred about 6:45. The girl was taken by ambulance to the Brunswick hospital.
