JIA to Spend More Money Marketing Post-Irma

At their monthly meeting yesterday the Jekyll Island Authority agreed to spend $75,000 for final design costs, fabrication and installation of the Wanderer Memory Trail Exhibit which will be installed at the St. Andrews beach park on Jekyll’s south end. Also, in an effort to recoup revenues lost due to Hurricane Irma the Authority authorized $100,000 in additional spending in the JIA’s existing Leisure Travel Campaign. This will allow Jekyll Island to be more aggressive with paid advertising during peak travel planning months in the late winter and early spring.
