U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue has designated 83 counties in Georgia as primary natural disaster areas due to damage from Hurricane Irma. The list includes Glynn, Brantley, Camden, McIntosh and Ware counties, among others. The declaration means farm operators in the designated counties are eligible to be considered for certain assistance from the Farm Service Agency including emergency loans.
