Glynn County Superior Court Judge Steven Scarlett ruled against SLF IV — GA Sinclair in their quest to subdivide a 128 acre tract of land on the east side of Lawrence Rd. on the north end of St. Simons into 248 lots. The preliminary plat was presented to the Island Planning Commission three times before being denied for a number of reasons including concerns about the impact of 248 new homes on traffic and schools and Issues with entrances and exits into the subdivision. Scarlett ruled the IPC can use its discretion in denying a preliminary subdivision plat.
