Keep Golden Isles Beautiful has secured a $1,300 Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation Community Orchards Grant that will be used to purchase and plant 4 orange trees and 2 grapefruit trees in Howard Coffin Park in Brunswick. The original grant request was for 8 citrus trees, so Coastal Greenery has donated two more grapefruit trees. The trees will be planted sometime in the next two months and the public will be invited. The Golden Isles Fund for Trees will provide signage and a children’s educational program at the planting event.
