Movement on the Oglethorpe Conference Center was side-tracked Thursday after two motions regarding the project failed during the Urban Redevelopment Agency’s meeting. The first motion was to send out another request for proposals along with a request for qualifications for architectural firms to draw up final construction plans based on options proposed by the Savannah-based firm Gunn, Meyerhoff and Shay, the firm hired by the city for the conference center project. The other motion was to proceed with Gunn, Myerhoff and Shay. Both motions failed due to due to a lack of second.
