The International Association of Chiefs of Police is in town seeking public comments and opinions about the Glynn County Police Department. The public forums are part of an in-depth assessment of the operations and management of the department initiated by the county commission in July as part of the county’s Strategic Plan. The assessment costs $70,000 and is funded by the police department’s seized funds account. The first forum will be held at tonight at 7 p.m. in the Historic Courthouse downtown; the second will be held at 7 p.m. tomorrow in room 108 at the St. Simons Island Casino on Beachview Drive.
