County Commission to Discuss New Animal Control Facility

The Glynn County Commission meets tonight at 6:00 in the Historic Courthouse and will discuss whether to approve a $172,000 architectural and engineering contract with Ussery - Rule Architects of St. Simons for design work on the proposed new Animal Control facility. The facility is a $1.5 million SPLOST 2016 project that will be built on property at the County police headquarters. At the request of Commissioner Peter Murphy, the contract was deferred by the county finance committee to the full commission without a recommendation for approval or denial.
