Pastor Paul McKenzie kicked off the United Way of Coastal Georgia’s annual fundraising campaign yesterday at the Brunswick-Glynn County Library. The United Way hopes to raise $1 million this year that they will grant to local social service organizations. Last year, the United Way granted $450,000 to 23 organizations overseeing 35 programs. United Way partners include The Salvation Army, American Red Cross, Glynn County Crisis Center, Communities in Schools, the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Georgia and several others.
