Glynn County’s Tree Ordinance committee met yesterday when they wrapped up the last of their concerns and asked Senior Assistant County Attorney Will Worley to have a draft ordinance ready for their next meeting on September 18. The issue that sparked the most debate was whether a permit should be required to cut down large, old live oaks. Private property owners will be allowed to cut down the large oaks, but will be required to go through a permitting process and replant a new live oak.
