Jekyll Uses SPLOST for Paving Project

Although it will not be enough to cover the total cost, the Jekyll Island Authority will use its first Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax payment  of $172,000 for paving and lighting at the south parking lot located at the southern end of Beach Village near the Jekyll Ocean Club. The plan adds an additional 123 parking spaces to the lot. Landscaping, water and sewer hook ups will also be added in the future along with a bath house and picnic pavilion similar to the ones at Great Dunes Park.
