Former Darien Officer Files Suit

Former Darien Police narcotics investigator, Korone Robinson, filed a discrimination lawsuit in U.S. District Court, Brunswick, last Friday, against the City of Darien, the Darien Police Department, Chief Donnie Howard, Officer Joseph Creswell and former Officer Ryan Alexander. The suit alleges Robinson’s termination in August 2016 was the result of intentional discrimination against him because he is African-American and because of his involvement in an interracial relationship with a fellow Caucasian officer. The suit asks for damages as well as a jury trial.
