The city’s Urban Redevelopment Agency got an update on the initial plans for the Oglethorpe Convention Center yesterday. Architect Patrick Shay presented a draft of the building program that lays out building capacities, uses and technology. There was a lot of discussion but no decisions were made. In addition, the URA voted to spend no more than $15,000 to have landscape architect Roger Steffens move forward with the second phase of the Mary Ross Park plan which will include a stake-out plan to locate the park’s various features.
