27 year old William Jordan Burks, who originally told police his name was Jarrod Chastain before fleeing from a traffic stop on a motorcycle Wednesday, is in jail charged with fleeing and attempting to elude police, driving with a suspended or revoked license, operation of an unlicensed vehicle, willful obstruction of a police officer, making an improper U-turn, and reckless driving. Burks was arrested in the marsh near the Ga. Pacific mill after being spotted by county drone pilots. He is also wanted in Lowndes County on a misdemeanor probation violation warrant.
