The county commission also heard a request from Christ Church Frederica for a land swap that would realign Frederica Rd. in front of the church to be to the north. The purpose is to create parking in front of the church instead of across the street on county right-of-way. At an estimated $1 million, the church said they are working on a federal transportation department grant. The commission did not offer any comment on the idea. The church will present the plan to West Point residents soon.
