Glynn County Chief Superior Court Judge Stephen Scarlett has issued an order setting a new schedule for motions regarding a new trial for Guy William Heinze Jr., In October 2013 Heinze was found guilty of the 2009 killing of his father and seven other people with whom he lived at the New Hope Plantation mobile home park. Activity in the appeal case could shed new light on the homicides and who may have been responsible. Heinze is presently in the Valdosta State Prison.
