During last week’s meeting the Glynn County Commission created a revenue committee to study various county revenue sources other than property tax. Those include rental fees for public facilities like the casino on St. Simons, fees related to sports facilities, parks and campgrounds and the fees for towing cars from public areas or the scene of an accident. The committee will only be advisory in nature and If they recommend any changes to the county fee structure, it will have to be approved by the full board of commissioners.
