At their Wednesday meeting the City will consider a rezoning request for the former Oak Park Inn property on the east side of Highway 17 at Parkwood Ave. The property was rezoned Planned Development in 2007 to accommodate development of Riverside Plaza which ultimately failed. The current request to rezone the 2.6 acres to Highway Commercial came with a conceptual site plan for a dialysis clinic to be built on the northern half of the property. Future development will need to conform to the current Highway Commercial zone district and US 17 Overlay.
