Glynn County Superior Court Judge Stephen Scarlett has ruled in favor of 5 Brunswick police officers effectively granting them a jury trial in their civil case against the City. The officers contend they received promotions with pay increases, which were later denied by City Manager Jim Drumm. After the officers challenged the city in court, the City requested a summary judgment, which was heard on Monday, July 10th. Ruling Monday the 17th, Scarlett denied the City’s request saying there were enough genuine issues of material fact to go to trial.
