County Commission to Modify Alcohol Ordinances

The Glynn County Commission was in consensus on two alcohol related issues during yesterday’s work session and instructed county attorney Aaron Mumford to move forward drafting ordinances. One would allow hotels that don’t have restaurants to sell beer and wine only from a refrigerator in the lobby. The other ordinance would allow so called boutique beer stores to sell alcohol by the glass and by the container. Once the legal details are worked out, the two ordinance amendments will come to the full county commission in August.
