City Work Program Recieves Nearly No Applicants

A Brunswick city summer work program designed to assist first-stage job seekers, ages 17-20, in developing their employment skills has been met with very little interest according to city officials. With 12 minimum pay, training positions available only one person applied. The program is also intended to help young people in pursuing their education and career goals. City Manager Jim Drumm contacted local churches, nonprofits and schools seeking potential applicants.
